Welcome to Tiferes Sta"m
The institute was founded in Ashdod in 1998 by a team of advanced Yeshiva students who were instructed by rabbis to supervise the STA"M (Torah scrolls, phylacteries and mezuzahs) market. Working in an unsupervised market has certainly presented these pious men with many difficult challenges.
In its years of existence, the institute has earned a wonderful reputation in Israel and abroad. It features a pool of learned, religious scribes, all of whom hold certification from the national center. They do their holy work in the various institute departments, be it Torah scrolls, tefillin or mezuzahs. They specialize in proofreading the STA"M, working meticulously by hand and via computer checks. Their crowning achievement is the renewal of used Torah scrolls (see separate article).
The STA"M proofreading is performed under the supervision of the Ashdod rabbis, who are involved in every single detail and provide guidance whenever a Halachic problem or question arises.
It is no wonder, therefore, that the demand for the institute's scribal products is particularly high. Well-known rabbis over the world are among our satisfied customers. We never make even the slightest compromise on STA"M kashrut, standards and quality.
